MEET THE MONKEYS

Monkeyland & Dominican Plantation Tour

Visit Monkeyland from Punta Cana, interact with friendly squirrel monkeys, explore a Dominican plantation, taste local coffee and cacao, and enjoy hotel transportation.

Tour Overview

Leave the resort area behind and travel into the lush countryside of Anamuya for a guided experience combining wildlife, local culture and tropical scenery.

Your day begins with pickup from your hotel or designated meeting point, followed by transportation through the Dominican countryside toward Monkeyland.

The first part of the experience includes a visit to a traditional country house and plantation. Learn how local families cultivate and prepare organic products while discovering aspects of rural Dominican life. Depending on the daily operation, you may taste roasted coffee, cacao, chocolate and other local products.

Continue through the botanical surroundings before entering Monkeyland, a five-acre habitat set against mountain views. During the guided visit, interact at close range with friendly squirrel monkeys that move freely through the natural environment.

The monkeys may approach guests, sit nearby or eat approved food from specially provided bowls under staff supervision. All interaction is controlled by the animal-care team, and guests must follow instructions at all times.

After completing the wildlife experience, visit the gift shop before boarding the transportation back to your hotel or designated drop-off point.
